It provides the same capabilities as the standard Mega 2560 board while being smaller and easier to integrate into embedded systems or prototype boards.
Built with the original ATmega2560 chip and a 16 MHz high-quality crystal oscillator, this board ensures stable and reliable performance. It uses the CH340G USB-UART interface chip to enable smooth communication between the board and a computer through a Micro USB connection. The CH340G driver may need to be installed for proper operation.
The board supports multiple power options. It can be powered directly via Micro USB or through an external 6V–9V DC input using the onboard LDO voltage regulator. Although the regulator can tolerate up to 18V peak, operating within the recommended voltage range helps prevent overheating and potential damage.
With 54 digital I/O pins (15 PWM outputs) and 16 analog input pins, the board offers extensive connectivity for sensors, modules, and actuators. It also includes 256 KB Flash memory, 8 KB SRAM, and 4 KB EEPROM, providing ample storage for complex programs.
